Drinking water pipes
Pipes made with TABOREX material (PE-Xb) are highly resistant to chlorine, which is used in drinking water distribution systems to eliminate waterborne pathogens and microorganisms. Chlorination is the preferred chemical disinfection method currently used, but unfortunately, it has a negative impact on plastic piping systems.
Pipes made with PE-Xb technology have one of the best resistances to chlorine compared to other plastic pipes. They are characterized by excellent durability, very long service life as well as flexibile and easy installation. They are the ideal choice for the construction of water distribution systems in homes, hospitals, hotels, water parks, spas and other public buildings, where preventive sanitization using chemicals and high water temperatures can be carried out without any worries.
Fittings
TABOREX® material offers a clear price advantage in this application compared to technical polymers, while meeting the mechanical standards. It is resistant to chlorine sanitization and meets the latest hygienic standards. The hydronic system using both TABOREX® pipes and TABOREX® fittings remains strong and reliable for many decades as all materials in the system are supported by strong cross-links.
Underfloor heating pipes
Household heating systems are based on the distribution of warm water using a pipeline system. The ideal material for central heating systems or for underfloor heating pipes is cross-linked polyethylene made using the silane TABOREX® (PE-Xb) method. Special grades of TABOREX® offer superior flexibility and durability for this application.
Gas pipes
The TABOREX® (PE-Xb) material is ideal for gas distribution. With the catalyst masterbatch, we can ensure that the outside of the pipe is yellow or white in colour.
Metal pipe coating
The protective layer made of TABOREX material (PE-Xb) provides excellent protection for metal pipes operating under high temperatures or in demanding conditions where they may come into contact with chemicals, oils or other substances.
Rotational moulding
TABOREX® (PE-Xb) is perfectly suited for the production of rotomoulded products designed to be used under high temperatures or for the storage of aggressive chemicals. The superior mechanical properties of PE-Xb compared to standard HDPE allows the production of thinner walled parts using less material. The excellent properties of these products directly encourage the use of TABOREX® (PE-Xb) material in applications for the marine industry.
TABOREX® (PE-Xb) also brings similar benefits to blow moulding applications.
PE-Xb foam
Foam made from TABOREX® (PE-Xb) material offers a closed and steady cell structure. This is perfect for flame retardant as well as water- and moisture-resistant products. The material does not contain harmful substances found in other foams. TABOREX® foam can be sterilized in autoclave chambers and it is proven to be durable against chemicals.
