We design and manufacture high performance COMPOUNDS based on polyolefins for a broad spectrum of industrial applications.
Since our inception in 1950, we have established a strong market presence. Our company's reputation was built on the production of polyamide and, later, polyester fibre. The year 1983 brought about a significant milestone; we shifted our focus to the production of plastic compounds, which have since become the core of our business.
Presently, we are fully committed to innovation, with a dedicated research center in the Czech Republic. Our production facilities located both in Europe (Czech Republic) and the USA (Georgia), allowing us to meet global demands effectively.
Our materials play an integral role in countless products and devices that enhance daily life. Whether it's for drinking water and underfloor heatings pipes, cables, diverse car parts, household appliances, or even hospital beds and furniture elements, SILON materials have a significant presence. Our primary areas of focus encompass the construction and automotive sectors, with SILON products offering versatile solutions across a wide range of industries.
SILON headquarters in Prague
The headquarters of the SILON Group is located in Prague, the historically and architecturally charming capital of the Czech Republic. The offices in the first-republic Art Nouveau Kraus Villa in the Bubeneč radiate have the charm of the beginning of the last century — the time when the villa was built.

symbol of SILON
and love for nature
The kingfisher has become the symbol of our company — a symbol of love for nature and its protection, vitality, resilience and independence. This successful hunter is home in almost all parts of the world, including Europe and the Czech Republic. Interestingly enough, the bird can be found where we are found in the Czech Republic - on the Lužnice River, the place where our company's heart beats. The kingfisher also lives near the Vltava River, where our new headquarters was built.
When the opportunity arose to adopt a blue-winged kookaburra (Dacelo leachii) at the Prague Zoo, we jumped at the chance. Adopting a bird from the kingfisher family is the next step in our commitment to protect nature and our environment.
