SILON helps Ukraine
A lorry carrying humanitarian aid to Ukraine amounting to 500,000 Czech crowns left the SILON gates yesterday.
The owners, managers, employees of SILON and their friends decided to help people in war-affected Ukraine. Yesterday afternoon, a lorry loaded with non-perishable foods, personal care, hygiene products and bottled water, left the SILON gates to deliver the aid to the collection point of the humanitarian organisation People in Need who will distribute the aid to the most deserving places.
Our company organised a humanitarian collection, raising 36,800 Czech crowns from the employees. Another sum was donated by SILON for the efforts of sportsmen, who had decided to join our running challenge Run for Ukraine. SILON donated 10 CZK for each run kilometre. From 1 to 8 March, runners, sportsmen and movement enthusiasts ran 1,621 km in total, thus obtaining 16,210 Czech crowns for Ukraine. The owners and management of the company decided to appreciate those performances and the involvement of the employees in the efforts to help, and multiplied the amount up to 500,000 Czech crowns.
We thank all employees, enthusiastic runners and the football team FC MAS Táborsko, which involved its A-team to the running challenge.
The owners of SILON will carry on helping Ukraine.
