Description

Glass fiber content can be incorporated at levels up to 40%, while HFFR grades are developed to meet specific flammability requirements, including UL94 V0 classification.

TABOPOL® compounds are designed for demanding technical applications such are automotive, electronics and appliances, construction, 3D printing, industrial components, sport equipment and electrical industry.

Glass fiber–reinforced compounds provide high mechanical strength, excellent dimensional stability, and superior thermal resistance, even under long-term load exposure.

Products produced with HFFR TABOPOL® compounds are suitable for applications requiring flame resistence up to V0 according to UL94.

What are the benefits of glass fibre reinforced TABOPOL® compounds?

The addition of glass fibre reinforcement enhances the mechanical properties of the base polymer. The resulting compound gains superior mechanical performance (tensile strength, flexural strength, compressive strength), improved dimensional stability, higher heat deflection resistance, and increased wear resistance. Thanks to these enhanced properties, TABOPOL® glass fibre reinforced compounds can be used in more demanding applications and environmental conditions where standard polymers would not be sufficient.

What are the benefits of flame retardant TABOPOL® compounds?

The incorporation of flame retardant additive systems into the polymer matrix reduces the material's ability to ignite and propagate fire. HFFR compounds are self-extinguishing — once the ignition source is removed, flame propagation ceases. In the event of fire, the compounds release significantly less heat. The materials have a higher LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index), meaning a greater concentration of oxygen is required to sustain combustion. Thanks to these properties, TABOPOL® HFFR compounds can be used in demanding applications where fire safety is a critical requirement.

Technical support

Testing on our line allows us to recommend processing temperatures, define extrusion capabilities and process speed with regard to the strain on the extrusion line motors.

We test the mechanical properties of the product after the extrusion (strength, ductility, shrinkage and surface smoothness). We also test the colourability of our compounds and we can therefore recommend the amount needed to achieve the required product surface colour.

Customer satisfaction is our priority and so we never restrict ourselves to just delivering compounds. Technical support and the correct configuration of the processing mode on the customer’s equipment is a matter of course.
