Laboratory Technician

The main job

• Maintain a safe clean work environment that will include, but not limited to, overall cleanliness and appearance of the quality lab.
• Follow all safety rules.
• Maintain and follow all laboratory SOP's and Work Instructions.
• Proficiency in the use of required hand gages, fixtures, analytical equipment, raw material testing and review.
• Communication of quality issues to Shift Team Leader / Production Personnel in a timely manner.
• Educate and instruct plant personnel in recommended quality control testing, equipment sanitation and general sanitation and housekeeping practices.
• Maintain Quality Records.

We expect

• High School Diploma or GED, plus experience required; Associates degree or higher in Science or Engineering a plus.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• 2- 4 years of experience in laboratory or production facility quality control.
• Experience in an ISO environment.
• QMS (Quality Management System) experience.
• Knowledge ISO 9001:2015.
• Quality system auditing experience.
